Upgrading from version 3.4 to 3.5

This guide provides detailed information on how to upgrade your CommonSense Search 3.4 installation to version 3.5.

Proper upgrade of configuration files

When upgrading, make sure that you do not upload or overwrite any files in the "config" directory. This would reset your affiliate ID and other settings. Instead, please follow this procedure to upgrade your configuration file:

1. Open the "config.txt" file from "config" directory contained in the 3.5 version ZIP package, using any text editor.
2. Edit the "config.txt" file from "config" directory on your server, using any FTP client or the configurator.
3. Copy and paste lines below the "Defined in 3.5 version" comment to the file on your server.

Proper upgrade of other files

If you haven't done any customizations with your script installation, you may simply upload all other files (except the ones from "config" directory) to your server. If you have done customizations, you may want to upload only files that were changed in 3.5 version. For your convenience, these files are listed below. Only these files need to be uploaded in order to upgrade from 3.4 to 3.5 version.

layout/adult0.inc
layout/adult1.inc
layout/adult2.inc
